Dubai is famous for tourists attractions like the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world), shopping malls with mammoth aquariums and indoor ski slopes, as well as various cultural places in the Bastakia district or the Dubai Creek. Here is a list of some of the most popular places to visit in Dubai that you should not miss during your vacation in this marvelous city:

This exceptional museum is located in Al-Fahidi Fort, dating from 1787, when it was built to defend the creek. 3.    Bastakia (Old Dubai)

The Bastakia district is one of the most popular places to visit in Dubai. It was constructed in the 19th century to house rich Persia merchants. It is located in the Easter area of Bur Dubai along the creek. Positioned with Arabian architecture, narrow lanes remind of a bygone and much quieter period in the history of Dubai. Inside the Bastakia, the visitor can discover the Majlis Gallery with a collection of traditional Arabic ceramics and furniture and the XVA Gallery with contemporary art collections.

4.    Dubai Creek

Dubai Creek divides the city into the town of Deira in the north and that of Bur Dubai in the south. The creek has represented an important influence in the development of the city, with small villages being developed as far back as 4,000 years ago.

5.    Jumeirah Mosque

Jumeirah Mosque is thought to be the most beautiful mosque in Dubai. It represents a model of Islamic architecture, being a precise copy of Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo which is eight times its initial size. The stone structure is constructed in the medieval Fatimid tradition with two minarets which exhibit refined details in the stonework.

Sheikh Zayed Road is the leading thoroughfare which runs through the modern downtown business district of Dubai. This eight-lane highway surrounded by towering glass, chrome and steel high-rise buildings is also one of the most popular places to visit in Dubai.
